Vertical lift mechanical systems provide high density storage of files, but are not as space efficient as movable aisle systems.

Vertical lift systems include a computer interface that enables a User to enter a file identifier and the machine will circulate and present a shelf or tray that includes the requested file. As such, staff can sit or stand needed files will be brought to the work shelf level of the system for fast retrieval.
