How UHF RFID Works?
UHF RFID is the use of tags with antennas and a computer chip to tag items and people, so that they can be tracked as them move, rapidly inventoried and found. Many tagged items and/or people can be tracked 'all at once' and from distances up to approximately 50', whereas previously items had to be tracked one at a time with keyboard, pen or bar code.
RFID tags have an antenna that receives power from radio waves that are transmitted by fixed antennas in work areas or at travel choke points and by portable scanners utilized to inventory and find items.
A key attribute of RFID is that staff can work normally and without concern for tracking the items they have or that they move, because radio wave technology works passively!
